Service to Kentucky

Adam is a husband, father, combat veteran and small business owner elected to represent the people of Kentucky’s 45th House District. With deep roots in Central Kentucky, he brings a record of service that spans the battlefield, the boardroom and the community. In his first legislative session he passed bipartisan legislation to make epinephrine more affordable, expanded voting access for caregivers, and founded Kentucky’s first-ever Veterans Caucus.

Where I stand

Standing with Our Veterans

As a combat veteran, I know the sacrifices our service members and their families make. In the legislature, I helped pass a law ensuring Kentucky’s National Guard troops and their families receive the honors and benefits they’ve earned.  As the founder and chair of the bipartisan Veterans Caucus, I bring together leaders from government and veteran service organizations to craft bold, meaningful legislation.

Affordable Healthcare

Every Kentuckian deserves affordable, life-saving care and the freedom to make personal medical decisions without government interference. I passed legislation to lower drug costs and introduced the Compassionate Care Act to give mothers more options during nonviable pregnancies. I’ll keep working to build a system that puts patients first and defends your right to make decisions about your health.

Tackling the Housing Crisis

Homes are getting harder to find and afford, especially when investors buy them up before Kentuckians even get a fair shot. That’s why I sponsored legislation giving local families the first opportunity to purchase a home before big businesses can swoop in. I’m committed to real solutions so families can afford to put down roots.
 

Improving Public Schools

I’ve voted for legislation to protect our kids and will keep fighting to raise teacher pay so we can keep our best educators here in Kentucky. I’m also proud to work with Governor Beshear on expanding access to childcare and delivering Pre-K for All.

Putting Workers First

I’m fighting for good-paying jobs, strong worker protections, and the dignity of a secure retirement. Jobs are more than paychecks, they’re about the families they support and the futures they create. I’ll keep standing with working Kentuckians, not wealthy corporations, to build an economy that works for all of us.

Holding Data Centers Accountable

When it comes to holding large, hyper-scale data centers accountable, I have led the fight since day one. I wrote the “Ratepayer Protection Act” and continue working with my Republican and Democratic colleagues to pass meaningful legislation to protect consumers and our local communities.

A Petition to Hold Data Centers Accountable

Kentuckians get a voice and a vote. That means public hearings and a vote by those living in the local community impacted, not politicians in Frankfort or Washington.

Full public transparency and no backroom deals or Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). 

NO cost to consumers or ratepayers for any infrastructure upgrades required or a rise in energy demand caused by the data center.

NO tax breaks! Kentucky families need the tax revenue far more than Big Tech Billionaires and giant corporations need another tax break.

Kentucky jobs for Kentucky workers. Any jobs created by a data center (construction or operation) must be filled by Kentucky workers, including our high-skilled labor union workforce.

Strong Environmental protections for our air, land and water, including noise abatement. 

Any plan to build a data center must include a “decommissioning plan” for when that data center  is no longer needed or closed.
